Week 4: Reflection
Write up a reflection about what you learned from writing and sharing your methods. Also think about what you would like to learn going forward to help with your work.
Right now my draft is based on research done by others and while I am trying to somewhat mirror research that has already been done I want to take my own spin on it and bring it to the realm of the librarian role and while I am excited about that because that is the work I am currently doing and loving I wonder if that my change. My access to teachers, their professional development, the role I play in the instructional tools they may use may change so would that change by possible research choices. I am always looking to move up and continue in working with a district but I want to continue to work for the limited and specific audience of the librarian because that role has changed so quickly in the last decade. I guess I wonder if the question I am proposing for my dissertation topic is still accessible to me whether I am a librarian or not and for the most part I think it will. My first two paragraphs that I submitted for this course was very general and stating what I knew about the material without backing up. I was a bit unclear about the assignment but now I know moving forward that I need to cite and provide resources to support my research. Starting with literature that states that the role of the librarian had changed because while it may be evident to me in that position and working with other in that realm evidence needs to be provided by others who have done research on that topic before I can dive deeper into my research.
